Now I purchased 2 AT&T Airties 4921 WiFi extenders in hopes that it would expand my coverage. I set one up about 10 feet from the router, then the second extender about 20 feet farther from the first extender. Using the SmartHomeManager app, I can see slightly better coverage ( few more green spots) but it's still not good really. AirTies 4971 issues. TLDR; My extenders won’t pair with my gateway. ATT hasn’t been much help. I’m at my wits end with ATT and these extenders. I’ve had them for about a month. I tried to pair them when I first got them and it wouldn’t work. May 5, 2021 · Does the 4971 support wired, Et BEWARE: if you have an old AirTies 4921, it may limit your 4971 to 125’ish. Both of those Ethernet jacks are output. If one was input and the other output, it would be marked as input/output. I have one, the highest speed I can get on my iPhone 12 Pro Max is around 275, in the same room. The new gateway, I had been getting a max of 620’s.
